A new sports bar, Fast Eddie’s Billiards Cafe, will be opening soon on US 17 in Restaurant Row. It will be located in the building that formerly housed the Wild Wing Cafe.
A miniature golf tournament will be held September 25 through 28 along the strand. Morning competition will be held at the Hawaiian Rumble course in North Myrtle Beach, and afternoon play will be at the Hawaiian Caverns course in Myrtle Beach. There are two age divisions, under 13 and adults. Entry fees are $100 for adults and $25 for children. The winners go to the Compaq Putting Championships at Disney World in January (with a $250,000 grand prize).
Montgomery Ward is closing all its Electric Avenue stores nationwide, including the one in Seaboard Commons on US 17 Bypass in Myrtle Beach. The shopping center is already talking to prospective clients to replace the store.
